The wide variety delights both parents and children, with a menu specially designed for the youngest guests. In fine weather, the terrace overlooking the putting green becomes the perfect spot for a relaxed family moment.

ACTIVITIES FOR ALL AGES
at the heart of the Domaine

What makes a family holiday unforgettable are the shared experiences. At Domaine de la Bretesche, countless activities await to create them at every moment.

AN EXCEPTIONAL GOLF COURSE FOR ALL GENERATIONS

Ranked among the most beautiful in France, the Golf de la Bretesche enchants both enthusiasts and newcomers. While parents take to the fairways, children discover the game. With clubs adapted to their size, they try their first swings under the guidance of David Lanta, the estate’s pro, who makes the experience fun and accessible. Here, golf is lived as a family experience, a poetic stroll between forest and lake.

WELL-BEING AND RELAXATION

While some head for the greens, others indulge in the gentle atmosphere of the Cinq Mondes & Omnisens Spa. Four treatment rooms, including two doubles, allow for a duo experience, perhaps a mother-daughter escape. Relaxing massages, anti-aging treatments, or signature rituals—every moment is an invitation to let go. Extend the pleasure with a dip in the heated indoor pool. The outdoor pool, open from May to September, offers another haven in the sunshine. After a treatment, linger beneath the large glass roof bathed in light, with a fragrant tea or a good book.

OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES AND STROLLS

The Domaine also invites you to embrace nature. A bike ride around the lake, an impromptu game of pétanque or mölkky, a jog along the trails, or a family tennis match—every day brings its own share of joy and discovery. Here, young and old alike rediscover the taste for simple pleasures, from a spontaneous picnic to a shared sunset.

THE PERMACULTURE GARDEN

At the heart of the Domaine, a large permaculture garden nourishes the Chef’s creativity and sparks children’s curiosity. Fruits, vegetables, and aromatic herbs grow with the rhythm of the seasons, in harmony with nature. Between playful visits and gourmet strolls, this garden becomes both a place of discovery and a source of culinary inspiration.

BEYOND THE ESTATE: DISCOVERIES
and family excursions

Because a family holiday is also about exploring, the surroundings of the Domaine abound with surprises to share together.

ADVENTURE AND THRILLS

Just minutes from the estate, Monkey Forest is the perfect spot for adrenaline seekers. Children and adults alike swing from tree to tree on courses adapted to every age and level. Zip lines, suspended bridges, and fun workshops promise laughter and unforgettable memories.

NATURE AND AUTHENTICITY

For a gentler experience, head to Faune Briéronne. Here, the escape takes the form of a horse-drawn carriage ride or a boat trip through the Brière marshes. This wild land, shaped by water and reeds, reveals its many faces along the way: migratory birds, changing landscapes, and local stories told by passionate guides.

FARM LIFE

Children will be delighted with a stop at the Forsdoff Educational Farm. There they meet goats, donkeys, hens, and rabbits while discovering the simple gestures of rural life. Between playful workshops and direct contact with the animals, this educational interlude is both a learning experience and a source of wonder.

VILLAGES AND HERITAGE

Not far from the estate, the charming town of La Roche-Bernard captivates with its small Breton port and streets lined with old houses. Stroll among artisan workshops, discover the suspension bridges over the Vilaine, and soak in the timeless atmosphere of this village labeled “Petite Cité de Caractère.”

SEASIDE ESCAPES

Less than 30 minutes by car, the famous La Baule beach stretches over nine kilometers of fine sand, ideal for a family day by the sea. Swimming, sandcastles, water sports, or simply relaxing in front of the ocean—everyone finds their own rhythm in this postcard-worthy setting.

CULTURE AND URBAN GETAWAYS

Finally, to extend the adventure, the cities of Nantes and Vannes are both less than an hour away. Nantes charms with its cultural vibrancy—with the Machines of the Isle, the Château des Ducs de Bretagne, and lively neighborhoods—while Vannes, surrounded by ramparts, enchants with its medieval heritage and maritime atmosphere.

Between sports, relaxation, and lively meals, Domaine de la Bretesche awaits to help you write your most beautiful family stories!

Domaine de la Bretesche, a luxury retreat in the Breton hinterland…

Our 5-star hotel boasts a perfect location for exploring the charms of the region. But before setting out, one is naturally tempted to surrender to the pleasure of simply enjoying the estate… From the moment you pass through its imposing wrought-iron gates, you are struck by the beauty of the surroundings. First, by the omnipresent nature — centuries-old oak forests, expansive lawns, and picturesque groves.

The beauty of the 15th-century château comes next, its reflection shimmering across a vast, tranquil lake. And upon reaching the hotel, one can admire its elegant buildings of pale stone accented with touches of red brick.

Across our 200-hectare estate, visitors are free to choose at their leisure: a detour to the Cinq Mondes & Omnisens Spa (14-metre pool, sauna, herbal tearoom), an 18-hole golf course winding through the grounds between lake and forest, or a bike ride to the ornamental kitchen garden, home to farm animals in the warmer months.

And whenever they wish, our guests can be tempted by an excursion through Brittany, just moments from the hotel.
